Straightforward outcomes: a possible partner handoff, or no match. Either way, BorrowForward is not the lender.
- It usually takes a few minutes
- The questions are short. After you submit, we check participating partners. If there is a match, you continue with that partner. If there is not, we will say so rather than invent an offer.
- A match is not an approval
- BorrowForward does not approve loans, quote rates, or promise amounts. A partner who wants to continue will explain their product, including any credit review they perform.
- Credit inquiries are on the partner
- Submitting a request through BorrowForward does not, by itself, affect your credit score. If you continue with a partner, they disclose whether they use a soft or hard inquiry.
- You may leave our site
- Handoff means you continue on the partner’s process. Read their terms before you proceed. You can also stop and not continue.
- No match is a real outcome
- Not every request finds a partner. That is not a judgment from BorrowForward; it means no participating partner accepted the match at that time.
